Brakes.... I will be reassembling by brake system soon on my Mangusta and am = wondering where I can find Girling components, namely pads. You know, a = SANE source.... I'm not sure if they are exactly the same on a 'Goose, = but I'll gamble once. (or check some old used pads first!) Caliper pistons are another common "hit list" item.... Is it better to = reline the caliper with stainless and run a domestic piston??? Master cylinder- these cars use a Bonaldi unit of some sort.... No idea = where it came from... Old magazine articles mentioned swapping out the = original MC for one with a larger bore, but, the dipweeds failed to = mention what it was that they used! No numbers, applications, notta.... = love that informative journalism of the early 70's.... aaack! Proportioning valve- do Panteras have these?? I have a new one that I = picked up at the factory. They recommended dissassembly, cleaning, and = reasssembly with lube, as it has been sitting on their shelf for waaaaay = tooooo long! These are the bits that seem to be tough to come by. In contrast, the = clutch system was a piece of cake. Fiat slave kit, or a new one that can = be modified to fit easily, and a Jaguar XKE master kit and it's clutch = city! Anybody running a hydraulic throw out bearing?? Good? Bad? Steve - getting tired of tires- Liebenow
