Ok guys, I need some brake upgrade suggestions. My Pantera is a 72' with 8 inch Campys in front and 10 inch Campys in the rear. Its got about 340 HP and is only street driven (for now). The stock brakes usually feel spongy. On a few occasions, I went to brake and the pedal went to the floor! After pumping once or twice, my brakes were back. This is a terrifing feeling and I don't want it to ever happen again. I am trying to improve the braking on a very tight budget, around $500. If the stock system is in top notch condition, will it be enough for my needs? I am wondering if the stock system can be fixed. If so, what needs to be replaced. What about replacing the mastercylinder and booster? Will this aleviate the problem. I've heard a lot of different opinions and I need to know my options in laymans terms. Thanks, Brian, CT
