Kevin, >This car is too expensive and personally valuable to go experimenting with >shops. I would like some recommendations from those with experience. >Please include your good and bad recommendations. I have heard that some >of the shops drive your car for fun, others take small but expensive parts >off of it and replace them hoping you don't notice, etc. I do not think that any of the well-known Pantera shops anywhere would demonstrate this kind of behaviour. The Pantera community is too small and word would spread quickly; instant death for any shop with a dubious practice. There is a list of shops in my Pantera web site (see www.horizon.com/~ingate/pantera4.html) and there are plenty to choose from in SoCal. I'm pretty sure any of the following could be trusted to an do an outstanding job. - Hall Pantera, 15337 Garfield Ave., Paramount, CA 97023 - JB's Pantera Care, 27151 Pam Place, Moreno Valley, CA 92360 - Pantera's by Cook, 7039 San Juan, Paramount, CA 90723 - Panteras by Wilkinson, 16237 Illinois Ave., Paramount, CA 90723 - P.I. Motorsports, Inc., 040 N. Batavia Street, Suite G, Orange, CA 92667 Any others gang? Dont forget to specify EXACTLY what you want done, and follow the process carefully, correcting any deviations from your wishes as you go. I've seen too many "restorations" with unhappy owners because they were not careful in spelling out in great detail their expectations. And get it all in writing! As always, I have no affiliation with the above, blah, blah. Shane Ingate San Diego Panteras
