If you live in the Inland Empire area I would suggest John Bender. I = think he calls his business JB's Pantera Care. And his phone number = should be 714-247-3408 (it is an old listing of mine). I started using = John for both Pantera and regular car work after he jumped (almost = uninvited) into the back of my Pantera to fix a loose ignition wire after = it died on the road to Vegas. I always had very good luck with John Bender. He was always scrupulously = honest in all of my dealings with him. I have bought parts from Gary = Hall, Wilkinson, and Pantera Performance (Colorado), but I have done most = of my own work lately (and hence my car has been out of commision for = several years now, but it WILL be back on the road soon). This has been several years, back when we both lived in the Torrance = area. I have since moved to Oceanside, and he moved out to Moreno Valley = (out near the old Riverside Raceway). I have not talked to him since, = but I still see his name listed in the POCA magazine occasionally. Craig Cline '74 Pantera #7352 Craig_Cline@rc.trw.com -------------------------------------- Date: 2/7/97 4:07 PM To: Craig Cline From: detomaso@wgate.com To all Pantera Owners, I recently purchased a 74 Pant L, and will need some things done on it soon, in the way of routine maintenance and perhaps some modifications. There are several places here in southern california that claim to be = "the" place to have this done on your car. This car is too expensive and personally valuable to go experimenting = with shops. I would like some recommendations from those with experience. Please include your good and bad recommendations. I have heard that some of the shops drive your car for fun, others take small but expensive = parts off of it and replace them hoping you don't notice, etc. I understand that you may not want to post these on the mailing list, so please e-mail to me directly if you have those concerns.
