Subject: The Search Is On!

Greetings All!



At Shane's and Judy's urgings I have joined POCA and subscribed to this

list in the hopes of finding my "outrageous" sports car before I turn 35!



I got till August to fulfill my dream. Of course, considering that I sold

my only car three weeks ago and all I have to drive is my Harley, my dream

will need to be filled much earlier than that. Thus, the search is on.



Unfortunately, with three kids and a fairly fixed income, I don't have the

unlimited bucks to do it right (read that, the way I would want to).



My budget is $20,000 to find a decent, solid, straight, rust-free, and

mechanically-sound driver. I don't have far to commute, just 12-15 minutes

by surface streets, to work. So, I won't be taxing the vehicle too much.



I would greatly appreciate it if you all would kept your eyes open for me.

I know 20K is a tough nut to crack. But I think a decent car can be found

for that price. Cosmetics are secondary to rust/accident-free condition and

mechanical soundness. Needs paint? Good! I can pick my favorite shade of

whatever! Needs new carpet, headliner, or seat covers? Great! I'll throw

one of those cheezy zebra-striped seat covers on until I can save up the

money to fix it up right! Heck. As long as it's clean, solid, straight, and

dependable, I'll take it!



Do you think I am asking too much? I really appreciate having people like

you to share my dreams with. Most people just smile and go, "Ooooo, you're

asking for trouble with them thar Eye-talian spurtz carz! You'll always be

in the shop!"



Anyway, enough of this. Find me a car!!!  I can't ride the bike on a daily

basis for much longer! (Although, it does make me feel like a real hardcore

biker!)
