Nobbie, Don't fret. You should be able to find a rust free solid Pantera for 20 grand. A month ago, my father bought a 71' in Florida for only 18 grand. It is in nice shape, but has been sitting in storage for many years so many of the rubber parts need replacing. But, the car is rust free and all original with only 30,000 miles. The paint is not show quality, but it is in presentable condition. The interior is very nice. All he had to do was change the belts, hoses, exhaust system(Big Bore !!), and tune the carburetor. I bought my Pantera, in Connecticut, a year ago for only $22,000. It was restored to show condition and needed nothing (although I was able to find some things to spend time and money on). This same car was advertised for $35,000 four years ago. The Pantera is not an easy car to sell right now, so it is a great time to find those deals that we all dream of. Keep in mind that the seller may take a lot less than the asking price. BUT, make sure you find a rust free example, or else your newly found bargain will turn into a money pit. Good luck in your search, its well worth it. Brian Lerose CT
