This agrees with another guy I talked with. He open tracks a '68 Mustang with a 351C and he replaced a Performer with the FPP unit. He said it made a big difference. > If I was to do it all over again, though, I'd DEFINITELY use Aussie heads. > I shot a whole roll of film at Larry Stock's shop of the various different > heads for use in an upcoming POCA newsletter article on the topic by PCNC > engine guru Steve Liebenow (watch for it), and learned a lot. The Aussie heads are very similar to the U.S. 2V heads except they have the superior closed combustion chamber of the early 4V heads. The downside to 2V heads is a lack of performance intakes. The performance intake market is primarily geared towards the 4V heads. I don't know of any high rise single or dual planes for the 2V heads. There are low rise dual planes (Edelbrock Performer 2V) and single planes (Weiand X-celerator) though and I've heard of some 2V intakes from Australia. Offenhauser probably has something too.
