Just FYI - In some states, one can take a "drivers safety course" if points system is used to rate your license. By taking the course, you reduce points PREVIOUSLY accumulated on your license. Ie; you must take the course after the conviction, rather than the date you got the ticket. But the point I'm trying to make is - insurance companies honor such courses for a 10% (in most states) discount on your insurance premium. And you don't have to get a ticket to take the course ! I think NY charges $10 and in Ca it's free. It's usually run on saturdays, and takes only about six actual hours - including breaks and a lunch. Geoff - most speeding tickets in four counties of So Cal all at once! I'm not proud. . . =:)
