Steve Liebenow wrote about California cars with "Historical plates" being exempt from Calif. smog requirements. I know that a car has to be 25 years and older to qualify for Historical plates plates, but Steve indicates that it is limited to cars that were originally registered in Cal. Did I read that right? My car was originally from Nor. Carolina, so I dont have the original Calif. tags. So the Historical plate route is definately a goer for me. Sound too good to be true...or is it.
