Yes the filler is located where you mentioned...   the jib panel behind the

drivers window.  On the early cars.... the filler cap is accesible through

the engine bay deck lid.  "You gotta pop-it to fill-it!"  Not a real problem,

but some people don't like it from a safety point of view.



According to the deTomaso Registry from Bill Van Ess... most cars before

#4500 had the "inside fill."
