All, Got this today from Chuck Engles, wonder why he didn't post it to the list? Subj: Re: Air cleaner plumbing Date: Mon, Apr 14, 1997 13:32 EDT From: engles@qns.com X-From: engles@qns.com (Charles F Engles Jr.) To: MikeLDrew@aol.com Dear Mike, Your recollections are correct. My late '74 #7171( originally bone stock) did have the air cleaner pointed to the passenger seat and a snorkle type device snaked down to a plastic air scoop mounted to the firewall below and behind the passenger seat. Chuck Engles ---------- Yes, I did a little research and learned that the snorkel-plumbing thing was a feature of very late '73 and all '74 and later cars. Apparently the Pantera air cleaner was not as common as I originally thought. I'm to receive a comprehensive education on the topic from Larry Stock sometime in the next few days (he's got about five of them), and will share whatever I think is even remotely interesting... Mike
