Okay, so what the hell do they think is going to happen because of the legislation for MANDATORY electric vehicles? They don't go through emission inspections do they? So aren't the numbers EXPECTED to go down? What kind of silly-ass tax are they going to impose on the electric cars? How is the state going to get it's "fair share" of "transaction fees" when the number of cars, as per their own legislation, that get tested for emissions is going to go down? This sounds like another case of governmental ignorance, being blind to ignorance they already put into place, just to find ways in which they perceive their coffers being filled. They want money, to pay for the bureaucracy that finds other ways to raise money, to pay for the bureaucracy that finds other ways to raise money, to pay for the bureaucracy that ................... On a similar note, a friend once saved all her receipts for an entire year, then went back and figured how much she gave up to the government. Between Federal, sales, excise, property, luxury, local and other taxes too numerous to name but we all pay, she figured her NET income at about 25% of her gross. In other words, if you made 60K gross, you only had about 15K to spend. Now tell me, are you comfortable having only 15K to pay for things like food, insurance, clothing, medical needs rent/house payment, car payment, etc? Adjust the gross for your actual and figure your net from there. I don't know about you, but I'd like to be able to rent a movie sometime. The government be damned, we are the people who put them there, lets' take them out.
