Greetings all,



As we all know, Shelby is the featured marque at this year's Monterey

Historics, celebrating not only the cars which bore his name, but also the

success of his racing efforts (this year marks the 30th anniversary of the

Mark IV's victory at Le Mans.)



For obvious reasons, this year's Monterey Historics are a must-do event.

Lodging is going to be tight down there, and rooms expensive.  However,

there is an alternative.



The Pantera Club of Northern California has reserved a block of rooms at the

Los Laureles Lodge in Carmel Valley, a historic country inn which has been in

operation since 1890, located only a few minutes away both from the racetrack

and Quail Lodge (host of the Concours Italiana.)  All conventional rooms are

taken, alas, but PCNC is also holding a raffle.



The Grand Prize winner's package includes:

Lodging for two people for three days and three nights, plus the winner's

choice of two passes to any one of the listed events for the Monterey Weekend

(see list below)



Second place has their choice of events passes for two people to any THREE

events.



Third place winner will receive their choice of a one-year paid membership in

either Pantera International or Pantera Owners Club of America.



The event price choices are:  Concours Italiana, One-day ticket for the

Historic races, Rick Cole auction, Pebble Beach concours, or dinner for two

at the Los Laureles Lodge Country-Western BBQ.



Tickets are only $5.00 each or five for $20.00.  Only 600 tickets will be

sold; in the event that a minimum of 375 tickets aren't sold, all monies will

be refunded.  The drawing will take place in July.  Tickets can be purchased

by mailing a check to:
