I'm a fan (ouch) of those sucker pancake fans as well.  The stock setup works

okay, but if I was going to do it again, I'd probably fit some sort of sucker

fans.  However, I would NOT use the system where the fan hangs directly on

the fins of the radiator.  Many aftermarket fans are set up in this fashion,

you pass a plastic loop through the radiator and secure it to the other side.

In my view, this is just asking for trouble, with the weight of the fan

coupled with inertia slowly tearing up the radiator.



My Cobra has a sucker fan so mounted; I'm currently investigating the

possibility of doing away with the existing mounts and fabricating some of my

own, metal straps that would tie into the frame of the radiator.
