David, if you're willing to go to all this trouble, there was a picture of a

European Pantera a few years back, that ran small projector headlights

mounted solid in the openings, with plexi-type covers. No erection/retraction

mechanism, no buckets, 30-40 lbs of weight gone,  and it really looked nice.

Cut & paste some pictures and you'll see what I mean. J DeRyke
