Pick up a copy of the Ford SVO catalogue; they are beginning to release some

stuff for the SOHC 4.6 modular motor. You might consider the 5.4-liter SOHC

truck block/crank and the 4.6-L DOHC heads. With a lot of work on them re

valve sizes & porting, this combo could get back most of the lost torque of a

Cleveland with the power of the cammers. Let me know how it works- I can't

handle the nearly $15,000 it cost one club member before he got thru with his

4.6L/'87 GT-5S! J DeRyke
