> British cars always look good on Minilites. Yes they do. I'm interested in a set for my Triumph TR7V8 project (destined for a Buick/Rover 5.0L aluminum V8 - 5 liters and 300 pounds). > Superlite in FL make Minilite-repros in all sorts > of custom sizes....... Do you have a number or web page address for Superlite? > Trans-Am Boss Mustangs from the late 1960's and > early 1970's (Penske team?) ran Minilites (or > Minilite-look-a-likes). I like Minilites on early Mustangs too but I went for American Racing Torque Thrust D's on my '66 fastback. I've seen a photo of a Pantera with Torque Thrusts but didn't care for it all that much. They look good on old muscle cars but look dated on a Pantera. Minilites would look better. One of the POCA newsletters from the past year had a test of a Euro GTS Pantera and a Maserati Bora. On one of the pages they show a small inset picture of a white Pantera with some sort of a multi-spoked wheels (if I remember correctly). Were they Minilites or maybe Mangusta wheels? Changing subjects, my plans for Vegas have changed. I had originally planned to fly in with a friend in his Seneca but he's having some trouble with it. So it looks like I'll be driving in on Friday night from Lancaster, California. Are any of the list members going to try to take in part of the airshow in between POCA activities? One last question. I recently looked at Pantera #6450, a '74 L model. The owner claims he bought the car from Mayberry Lincoln-Mercury in the early 90's and that he payed $56K for it. I don't know what Panteras went for at the peak but that seems suspiciously high. Is he just trying to make his $28K price sound more reasonable by inflating the purchase price? BTW, he claims the car has 16,000 original miles on it. Later, Dan Jones
