Hall makes a high torque starter.  I have personally not had troulble with

the stock one after running a 900 amp battery and #00 cables from the battery.

There are many alternators that may be used.  I have heard of some people

using the Corvette ZR-1 alternator.  I believe that PI had a technical

article on its retrofit.

I prefer Interstate.

About 8 feet from positive terminal to the starter solenoid.  Run #00

welding cable for the minimum voltage loss.  It worked for me.
