Interestingly, we spoke to the designer of the Pantera, and his idea was to be able to wash the engine at the same time as one washed the exterior.You'll note that with the L model Ford screwed up this breakthrough with a part of the engine screen being covered. One of the reasons pre L models are so desirable.
