Hi, I'm new to the list, but have owned a Pantera ('71 #1549) since '71 (I'm POCA member #12). Anyway, I searched the past months archives and have seen no mention of the above topic. My 351C needs replacing and I've been seriously been considering the smog legal Cobra DOHC 4.6L that Wilkinson Pantera is installing. Does anyone have personal or other knowledge about this? Real performance (dyno/strip)? Pros/cons (other than price)? etc. Also, I have an early ZF in the car and a later one (new) in a box. Any opinions on rebuilding the old one vs using the new? It also occurred to me that if the California SB42 passes and smog checks are not required, that other options may become available.
