$300 is cheep for a Pantera A/C repair. I just got done today putting all new hoses on a '74 GT-4. After 25 years hose just don't hold R-12 like they used to. A new rotery compressor conversion as also a costly item. Part of the conversion is to put a cycling switch on the reciever/drier to turn the compressor on and off as needed. Someone already did that on the GT-4 so I didn't have to. Its rare to see a bill under $500.00. Also up north here we put in a shut off valve in one of the heater hoses. In the summer we turn the water off to the heater core. In the winter we open it up. It helps because the factory water control does not shut off all the way. Kent Collectors Choice #2339(lime green) P.S. I will see all of you in Vegas
