Hi everyone Regarding the uneven spacing of the fan blades I think the reason is to make them less noisy. Compare this to tire treads that have varying tread pattern when followin it around the wheel! My car has dual Saab sucking fans (exotic to you perhaps, as common as it gets over here!) and idles without overheating for as long as I care to leave the car standing as far as I know! The radiator has been tilted forward a bit to make the fan motors clear the body. Does anyone have experience of engine bay temperatures with and without the luggage tray in the car? I'm getting kind of fed up with having the passenger seat filled with stuff all the time! I'm having intermittent trouble starting the engine when the engine is warm. When trying to restart after a short stop the engine won't turn more than around 90 deg (that is to the next compression event). When repeated starting attempts are made the same happens a few times, then the engine starts turning as normal (that is as when performing a cold start)! Suggestions? As far as I know my starter is the stock unit. The battery is relocated to the engine bay resulting in pretty short cables which shouldn't exactly harm things. Does anyone know if the original air cleaner box on the -71 comes from any other known car? I'd like to replace the aftermarket air cleaner with something that allows me to run an air duct from the bottom of the engine compartment as the air around the air cleaner isn't exactly cool even when driving at highway speed. Does anyone have the main measures for a -71 unventilated disc available? I want the basics as disc thickness, OD, hub OD, hub ID, offset from outside of hub to disc rubbing side. Both front and rear are of interest. Can the rear caliper easily be modified to accept a thicker disc?
