From: dolster@exo.com (D. Antenucci) Subject: Leaner or Fatter Jets? Date: Tue, 6 May 1997 19:54:35 -0700
Help Me Here, I'm ruunning a Holly double pumper flowed to 810 cfm on a Holly Dominator/Strip Intake. This set-up ran great at Mt. Charleston last week, perhaps even a little rich. . However, a couple people who offered input on setting up the car for the Silverstate event indicated I needed to "lean" (not fatten) the jets out and go to colder plugs due to the elevation. I understand why you go to colder plugs on the top end but I'm not sure I understand why I would want to go to leaner jets. . . at elevation?!. Hey, I'm trying to keep an open mind here! Anyway, we do plan to get to Ely/Lund two days before race day so we still have time to dry-run the course and re-jet if necessary. I've been told the course starts at 5500' feet in Lund and travels down to 2500' feet in Hiko ninty miles away. Thanks In Advance, Dennis Antenucci Team Pantera Racing "Some Fear" .
