Rumor has it that Ford reamed the cam bearings after installation. If you kept your old cam, you can cut a few hacksaw slots across the journals, then carefully install the junk cam and slowly twist it a few times. Your home-made tool will remove enough high points in the new bearing material for the new cam to work just fine. Cam bearings are rather lightly loaded and don't require as fine a fit as crank bearings. Aeroquip sizes their fittings by groups of1/16 inch U.S. So a dash 4 (-4) line or fitting will be 4/16" dia, or 1/4" inside. Be aware that many US Speed Shops are now on the world-wide-web, and have email addresses, too. Welcome aboard! J DeRyke
