Frank, I'm gonna assume your wiring harness is stone-stock, and Ford's li'l

fix for high gauge readings is still in place. They spliced a 2watt resistor

into the gauge line, near the distributor, covered with tape. Check if it's

still in there. Guaranteed, your readings will go up when you pull that
