FYI, Note an experience of a friend: He was happily tuning on his 348 = tripower and somehow got the thing on fire. Picture him beating out the = fire with a shop rag, open end wrench, anything he could find. Engine = still running..... Good neighbor comes running up with Halon = extinguisher... friend yells NO! just as the neighbor pulls the trigger = and extinguishes the fire.... Well, he extinguished the engine too..... = Seems Halon doesn't like to be compressed along with aluminum (pistons). = Needless to say, piston meltdown required a new engine.... bad = neighbor..no biscuit! Anybody else heard of this? I know that Halon is good for computer = rooms, but I wonder if a better alternative may be available to halon = and/or the white mess... for our cars?? Can't remember what the third = type of extinguisher was.... help me!! Or, do you simply remember (force yourself) to turn off the motor!? I always figured you could do like in the movies... airplane on fire, = captain yells dive, dive! Fire goes out... happy ending.... So, just go = faster 'till the flames go out, you run out of gas, or you hit the CHP = tire puncture strips.... :-) Steve -too much horsepower for sale- (cumulative thing.... 'cumulated too many of 'em!)
