Just pulled this iff the Nor-Cal SAAC list (submitted by Scott Hirose).

It might make a fun run for San Diego and LA-area Kitty owners....





The 2nd Annual Cobra Day at the Petersen Automotive Museum

is Saturday, June 7.  For those who aren't familiar with this

event, the Cobra Day is a gathering of authentic Shelby Cobras

and famous people from Shelby American's racing days.  Approx

*100 real Cobras* attended last year's inaugural gathering.

It is basically a show & shine in the museum parking lot,

so I don't think there is an admission charge.  A hamburger

BBQ will be available for $10 (pre-paid reservation required).



This year's guests will include Carroll Shelby, Pete Brock,

Dan Gurney, Phil Hill, Bob Bondurant, Billy Krause, and

a few other unannounced guests.  A group photo of Cobras

and Daytona Coupes (there were a couple last year) will be

taken at 1pm.  A BBQ lunch is available on-site at a cost of $10.

Lunch reservations must be pre-paid.  The show will be 10am-4pm.



Coincidentally I will be attending a conference in L.A. June 9-12,

so I am planning to fly down a couple days early and attend the

Cobra Day.  Send me a private email if you're interested in

meeting me there.   You can jet down to L.A. and still be back

for the Nor Cal SAAC mystery brunch on Sunday.....
