I use the stock Cleveland oil pump (and distributor FWIW). I do not see any fluctuations on the other gauges when the oil pressure guage "flickers", so I do not suspect the voltage regulator (the stock oil pressure gauge is electrical). I've not checked where the A/C plumbing routes behind the dash, but I do know that I get some condensation on the A/C lines (I've since put foam insulation around the accessible pipes that I can see); could water drip from the lines onto the back of the gauge and cause the "flicker"?
