Well I discovered what the problem was with the door. Kind of a freak thing,

actually.  A little piece of putty or something had broken off and lodged

itself in the unlock mechanism, which prevented it from unlocking the door.

Once I finally managed to get the door open and remove in inner panel, it

was pretty easy to pull out. Now I have one of those fancy cars - the kind

with two operating doors!
