Hey Shane don't give up hope, I think the webers are a neat carb setup. A good source for parts/questions is Inglese induction sys.(203-265-3617). According to a few people I talked to about the webers they say that once you set them up properly they stay that way. I have a set for my Cleveland and since I'm changing the cam/ heads I'm planning on changing the emulsion tubes and jets($300) since I'm not going too drastic I don't think I'll have to change the chokes. One thing someone told me to look for are damaged throttle blades; it seems that a good backfire can permanently damage them, causing them to run rich at idle. One way to check the carbs is to hold them up to a light like a pair of binoculars(make sure the gas is out first!) and look for light shining through the blades-they should be fairly concentric with the bore. The oxygenated fuels do attack the rubber gaskets though(just like they do in a Holly-replacing those accel. pump diaphrams a lot?-needle and seats too) I guess the alcohol dries them out. If it's legal to run race gas-you can run that as most don't add the alcohol additive. Although fuel injection is more efficient, nothing beats the aesthetic value of a brace of webers in a Pantera! Hope this helps-Dave Lee
