Jack, What is your overall feeling on Pantera wheel and tire choices and how they affect handling and gearing? Here's my dilemna: I need new tires, have the original 7" / 8" combo, and can't seem to find a good tire to fit the rears. (Familiar story, I know.) One option I am considering is a pair of S. Wilkinson's repros in 16" x 10" for the rears, moving the 8" stock wheels to the front. With a 235/60/15 (26.1") in front, I would be nearly equal height with 315/40/16 (25.9") in the rear. (Michelin XGT Z is offered in this size.) Is 315 too wide for a stock fender (rolled) on my early ' 72? Will the width discrepancy lend to significantly greater understeer? Would I be better off for street + Pocono with a 255/50/16 (still 26") to avoid the inevitable push in front? Does everyone (but me it seems, as I am running 225/60/15 and 245/60/15) favor the extra width in the rear for looks, or max performance handling?
