My original compressor gave up two years ago, and that was a good opportunity to change to a more efficient and quiet rotary compressor kit, which I bought from Hall Pantera. Maybe not the cheapest or best way, but the kit included one important item, namely a bracket that fit the original mounting holes. It was hard anyhow to get it there but I did all work myself, except the final adjustments and filling of the system. I installed new hoses + dryer. The workshop installed a filling valve next to the dryer for easy access. I am still using R-12, but for change over to R-134 you should check POCA issues a year or two back, which give lots of information. Some says you should change everything, some says almost 0. As far I know, one should have synthetic oil in the compressor, and install new dryer. New hoses are never wrong. Good luck. regards Bo > >Franck, Donald J wrote: > >I want to install a rotary AC system using R-134. What kinds of >experiences has anyone had and what parts do I need.
