To all, I would like to install a mechanical water temp gauge on my 74L, leaving the existing gauge intact. Ideally I would like to install it in the engine compartment, with the gauge above the black engine cover, in the right corner, so that I could glance over my right shoulder and see the gauge. What is the best way to install the sender for this gauge? It is a bourbon (spelling?) tube that puts the sensor into the coolant stream. By the way, the original pressurized water tank has been replaced with a Hall part (by the previous owner), and thus that temp plug in the water tank is unavailable. The current sender is an electric model that screws into the block near the water pump. Is there a part that I can interpose into the tubing that will allow this sender? Is there another place on the block to screw it in? Any help would be appreciated. Kevin 74L 6240 ==============================================================================
