Subject: Brake Light Switch

I am having trouble replacing my brake light switch. The two

replacements I've purchased both seem to have undersized treads, so when

I try to tighten them down they strip out.  When I reinstalled the

original I have no problems and it tightens down just fine.



Any suggestions on what could be the problem?



ps.Both replacements I bought are Detomaso part #01321A.
