I am wondering if anyone has had experiences similar to mine due to Pantera

ownership.  I have recieved free oil changes just because the Zip lube guys

loved seeing the car, I got a 1972 Pantera Lincoln-Mercury Tool Service kit

from a guy who stopped by my house and thought I might like it (it came in a

special suitcase with all kinds of stuff like axle nut removal wrench and

ball joint remover, ect...) and he just gave it to me.  You know, that kind

of stuff.



Well, last week I got a shock.  We went to visit a freind of mine who lives

in Marysville, Ohio (about 30 miles northwest of Columbus).  We decided to go

visit the local Lamborgini dealer (every small town in Ohio has a Lamborgini

Dealership, don't they?) who also handles Vipers.  We started looking around

at all the nice cars, they had 2 Diablo roadsters ($278,000 each) and several

Vipers including a very nice GTS.  They had several other nice cars such as

Bentley Turbo R's, #08's, Testarossa's, Rolls, Slant nose 911's and such.  We

were approached by a salesman as we were looking at the black 308 and he

ended up asking me what I was interested in.  I told him I owned a Pantera

and I liked exotics.  He asked me if I had seen the Diablo's and I told him I

had.  I told him they were very nice, especially the yellow one.  He then

asked me if I would like to test drive it.  I think he probably reconsidered

his offer right after the stain appeared on the front of my britches.  While

I was drying out, he asked if I'd like to drive the Viper GTS.  ALL BECAUSE I

MENTIONED I DROVE A PANTERA.  What clout!  What power!  What an idiot!.... I

didn't take him up on it. I regret it now, but it was sure fun being there!



Anyone else out there have things like this happen to them?
