Dan,

  As promised, I checked in the Ford book on the possibility of a starter =

that was for the 157tooth flywheel and fit both A/T and S/T app's. Notta. =

Nope. Isn't one.



  So, at least according to Ford, there is no starter that fits both =

trans app's nor is there a difference for different flywheel sizes from =

'65 to '72.  (not that Ford could have made a mistake of course, but it's =

all I can go on, plus a wee bit of personal....)



  You stated that you had seen this in a parts stores' book.....  I've =

seen many things wrong in those books..... If you've tried to get stuff =

for a 428 CJ then you know what I mean!   (What am I saying.... try =

getting Pantera parts!!!  Hah!)
