There are a couple of things not covered in this operation. -1- the metal elbow from the water pump to underbody hardline is not included to make your life easier. It is there because many owners have demonstrated an ability to saw through a rubber elbow at this point with the gearshift rod. -2-, take the OEM Italian hose clamps and either sell them to a restorer or (better) throw them as far away as possible. Replace them with gear drive clamps, preferably two per spot. Let's face it- most guys are gonna put hoses on and never look at them again until a flood occurs. Double clamps are insurance. -3- silicone hose is very sensitive to clamp pressure; overtighten the clamps and hose material extrudes thru the slots in the band. And silicone is notch-sensitive; you've now got a hose with serrations cut into it and it WILL fail, probably at the most inopportune time.-4- replace the two miserable short heater hoses under the dash before they blow and either blister your foot or steam up the windshield so you hit something large & heavy (both have happened many times). This is not a fun job but it IS necessary. J DeRyke ==============================================================================
