Newbie (aka: Grasshopper), Are you on drugs? I don't think your serious. . .But jus' to play this out, here's my response; William King wrote: > > O radical one and all, > > And while we are on nuts and bolts questions ... > > What's the 351C stroking story ? Grasshopper, Having a big stroker myself I is a believer. You could increase stroke from 3.50 to 3.70 inch by off-set grinding the rod journals from stock diameter to 2.100 to accommoate 5.700-inch center-to-center length Chevy rods. > > How do you unlock the high-end breathing potential of the 351C ? Take it up to 8000 rpm and you get perfect voulmetric efficiency! :-] Talk to the engine builders, plus Jack DeRyke, Ron Graves, etc.. > Who are the best builders around ?Ask them: (Mike Cook, Don Nickelson, Ron Siple, Dennis Quella, Lance Nist Steve Wilkinson, Ron Siple, Cory Gehling, etc. etc.) and they'll tell ya. Having heard my share of nightmere engine build stories I think it is best to deal with someone you know and someone local who is a Ford engine hi-po engine builder. Failing that, ask questions, do your research and make an informed decision from the names above. > What about OHC conversions ?Talk to Steve Wilkinson or Lance Nist > What are all the differences between the various heads available ?Grasshopper, if your serious you got alotta research and reading ahead of you. Have you got the back issues of PI and POCA yet? Contact Ron Graves or Bill Van Ess to get a copy of the Super Ford article (I forget which one) that dealed with the good, the best, the bad, and the ugly of both Cleveland and Windsor small block engine builds. This article is a good starting point if you don't know the 351-Cleveland. > Or, basically, how do you build a high-rpm, reliable, clean, broad > power band killer motor on a 351C platform? ... seriously, > somebody out here should be able to provide some references for > us newbies to read on this subject ... > Grasshopper, are you on acid? How many fingers am I holding up? If so, call "Get-A-Life"! :-] Mad Dog ==============================================================================
