A necessary evil. Frankly, I wouldn't go that fast on a Euro/TA anyhow... have you looked, lately, at how tall those sidewalls are? If you wanna run that fast, get shoes appropriate for the task. As I recall, a knowledgeable tire guy once told me to subtract one letter on the speed rating scale for each plug/patch in a tire... food for thought.
