Slightly off topic for this list, but not too far I hope ...



My 16 year old son just passed his motorcycle safety course

and we're now shopping for his first motorcycle :-) (Curt, take note)

Knowing that Shane has a Guzzi and that there is a DeTomaso connection

here ... didn't they own Guzzi ? and knowing that lots of you folks

who enjoy do it on 2 wheels too ...



what were the older Guzzi's like ? We've located a cafe racer style 500

from the early 80s (haven't seen it yet myself) that has captured his

imagination. Having succeeded in talking my son out of a crotch-rocket

and into a european twin does anybody on the list have any Guzzi

knowledge ?

BTW, Are there ANY family style [hm]otelrooms available within an

hour's drive of Monterey Aug 15-17 for those of us who left the

decision to the last possible minute ?
