Take it apart first and make sure that's the problem. If it is the wristpins binding you can press the pistons off and take a look at things. The pistons can be honed on the rod machine, and the pins can be polished or replaced - any machine shop will have a barrel full of old pistons, just find some with pins of similar weight and dimensions. That'd be most Ford small blocks and some sixes. There's a lot of leverage on the pin when the engine turns. I've never come across one bound so bad the starter couldn't crank it over. Usually the pin will gall in the piston and the pistons will get a bit rattly sounding at low throttle openings and when cold. Look first. *Then* panic... ====dave.williams@chaos.lrk.ar.us========================DoD#978======= can you help me...help me get out of this place?...slow sedation... ain't my style, ain't my pace...giving me a number...NINE, SEVEN, EIGHT ==5.0 RX7 -> Tyrannosaurus RX! == SAE '82 == Denizens of Doom M/C '92== ==============================================================================
