David & Others, For what's it's worth. . .Perhaps the Edelbrock is ideal right-outta-the-box. But for how much horsepower? I do know unless you have a mild engine your gonna be disappointed with the Edelbrock. I'm not talking full race here either. I don't know shit about carburators and I don't wanna learn now either. I have always bought from the The Carburator Shop or Barry Grant. Set em up on a dyno and forget em. Mike Cook and others swear by these guys. So do I. . . I know some of you monkeys are gonna say Holly is no problem and we don't have the money for Barry Grant or the The Carb Shop, blah-blah. Okay, I can understand that. . .But I know people (and so do you :-]) who are constantly friggin around with their Carbs and they never get them right. And for these people the right-outta-the-box may be a good idea. To me time is money and the investment to have someone build my carb right the first time is as important as who builds my engine. Everything should work together right. Jus' my opinion folks. :-} Mad Dog ==============================================================================
