Seems to me that any decent carb and choke cleaner would work great. I've

used the stuff to clean the inside of my chrome aircleaner that all kinds

of discoloration.



I also used the stuff to degrease the ground strap on the transaxle. Stuff

works like a dream.



If it's painted, then I dunno for sure if carb and choke cleaner would harm

the paint.
