Aha! Carrying this to it's ultimate conclusion, we must conclude that smoke is the power of the universe, and all things are dependent upon it. Examples: 1. Older non-maintained cars losing power usually exhibit vast quantities of smoke escaping out of the exhaust pipe. Therefore loss of smoke causes loss of power. 2. Older human beings that are running down often emit a colorless (although sometimes green) but highly odiferous smoke. Therefore loss of smoke causes old age. 3. California has been emitting so much smoke that it has resulted in permanent smog. Therefore loss of smoke causes moral and political decay. 4. Forest fires result in dead trees. Therefore loss of smoke causes loss of life. My computer is starting to smoke, so I had better quit.
