You's People, And the winner is? 1. Hagerty Classic Auto Insurance Huntington Beach, CA DeMeulle Insurance (Agent) (714) 963-5684 Point of Contact: Adrian Caraballo RATE: $200.00 + Agent Fee of $50.00 TOTAL: $250.00 Includes "full" liability, comprehension and collision coverage. While this was the "lowest" quote and there were added perks to this policy. 1.1 Agreed Value Policy 1.2 Full Replacement Cost 1.3 "No" Deductibles 1.4 Full Coverage Liability, Uninsured Motorst, Comprehensive & Collision with $100,000 liability coverage. 1.5 No "up to" or ACV or Stated Value clauses. 1.6 7500 Miles a Year - Doesn't appear to be inforced. 1.7 Been in business 40+ years. NOTE: This company and broker were recommended by our POCA Membership Chairperson (Judy McCarthy). They were great to deal with and do a large number of classic cars. 2. Collector Guard Insurance Lakeland Florida (800) 678-5173 Point of Contact: Trudy Kruzick TOTAL RATE: $ 328.00 NOTE: Good Rate, HOWEVER, there is a $1,000 Deductible! I didn't get too far with these people and did not verify if they provided Agreed Value on policy. This company was recommended by a POCA member. There were other restrictions like 2500 mileage. 3. Parish Insurance Nashville, TN 800-274-1250 Point of Contact: TOTAL RATE: $430.00 $250 dEDUCTIBLE note: This was the company I had the last couple years. Agreed Value policy with 2500 mileage limit. 4. 20th Century Insurance Woodland Hills, CA TOTAL RATE: $330. note: Rate is based on ACV (ACTUAL CASH VALUE) IN OTHER WORDS "THEY" DECIDE WHAT THEY PAY OUT!!! SEE MIKE DREWS PREVIOUS POSTING. This is the company I carry my other cars with. I have had no problems with them but their rate was high, their liability limits were lower and it tookk me three calls to get through to someone who EVEN knew what a De Tomaso Pantera was. The above rate also reflects my "GOOD DRIVER DISCOUNT! (no laughs please) :-] Also the rate included a MULTI-CAR DISCOUNT! (three other cars) In summary if your paying less money for the SAME or better coverage keep the company. If your paying MORE dump them at renewal time and consider one of the top three companies. There were a couple other collector insurance companies that I eliminated due to member pending lawsuits or poor service or someone wrote a horror story. Hope this info helps save you some bucks down the road and I'd like to thank Judy McCarthey AGAIN, for the recommendation. Thanks Judy!
