But if you want a more driveable car that gets good gas mileage and better low end power, then the Carter/Eddlebrock may be a good choice. My neighbor used one on a fairly rad 454 in a chivelle and could light the tires up at 60mph.!! Full bodied car in the 12's with street tires. And he never even adjusted the IDLE screws!!!!! I saw 2 panteras at the Chicago historics having trouble with their holleys and had to work on them there to get them to hardley even run. If you want a 600 HP race engine then use the $800 modified Holley. If you want a good 400 HP street engine you can forget, then use the Eddlebrock.
