Hey Jim, "Gonna need a Longchamp like Kirby's soon!" Say, keep your pace going, and you'll be a perfect match for that Deauville that Kirby saw when he bought his Longchamp! Congrats! And thanks for the story. Those of us here in the civilized section of the country (cough! gag!) usually don't get that kind of reaction, because people are more used to seeing 'flash' cars. But take one to a small, rural place, and the whole town turns upside down. I remember when I drove my beater Pantera from California to Oklahoma, I got the same kind of reaction (well, not quite as rabid, but close) in every gas station I stopped at. It's fun, isn't it? BTW, speaking of integrating families with Panteras, Larry Stock recently learned that his wife Shari is pregnant with what will be their first child. So he's hard at work developing a bolt-in baby seat that will attach to the shoulder-harness mounting bolts and sit between the seats on the console, so junior can ride with mom and dad (in what is undeniably HER car!) The prototype should be ready in, oh, somewhat under nine months from now! I've also heard from many people that babies that won't sleep, and fuss and cry at night, seem to LOVE riding around in a Pantera. Marcus Smith used to get up at 1:00 a.m. and put the little monsters, er, angels in a baby seat in the passenger seat, then go bombing around the neighborhood. They like the noise and vibrations and movement and would soon drop right to sleep! Later, Mike ==============================================================================
