There have been a number of posts on this subject in the past. One of = the more contemporaneous posts that would be relevant to you was from = Jim Firanzi. It was sent June 5, 1997 regarding "Tires...need new...what = size?" I also extracted a lot of the older information from the archive = files then checked several distributors. This is what I found for stock = rims: BFG Comp T/A 225/50 ZR15 245/50 ZR15 BFG Euro Radial T/A 225/50 HR15 265/50 HR15 Yokohama AVS 225/50 ZR15 255/45 ZR15 Dunlop SP Sport 8000 225/50 ZR15 245/50 ZR15 As a side bar, I got rid of a set of BFG Comp T/A that were 205/60 and = 275/60 that were virtually new (still had there nibs or nubs on them). = Personally, I did not like them. The car set to high in back changing = the roll center of gravity - it looked like a damn tractor or a reject = from the 60s with too much rake. Good luck... My stock 74 L has a set of dated BFG Radial TAs - 185/70/15 front and 255/60/15 at the rear. Can anyone identify a proper set of replacements = - preferably a "speed" rated tire that will work properly with the 7 and = 8" stock wheels and not disturb the sheet metal. I have searched and = searched for a matched set of replacements and am willing to do the "plus" sizing thing - but nobody is able to come up with a combination in the sizes I = am suggesting - like 205/60/15 front and 255/60/15 at the rear. Any suggestions? ==============================================================================
