Hi people; Chris you wanted to know about the unit I had, well It's like this it expired without warning coming back from the tire shop which is about three miles away from my house. I got there fine, it started fine when I went to leave, then went about half a mile and it started to misfire at 2000rpm ( how embarrassing in public). I had to drive the rest of the way home by getting up to 2000rpm then kick in the clutch and coast, ingage the clutch again run the rpms up disengaged clutch coast.... got home but was quite pissed off. The allison unit was just a red box on the firewall, stock coil and a bolt in pickup in the distributor which seemed to be the problem, the little "eye" was rubbing on the plastic disk on the shaft ( very technical I know, can't think of the nomenclature right now) and wore it out, the distributor was full of black plastic dust. And yes it was installed by Hall. I hope this helpful. And now for something completely different, well not too different. What is the NINE, SEVEN, EIGHT at the end of Dave's messages? Am I completely out of it or is there something I'm missing? Oh, and the pevious owner of my car had the transaxle rebuilt by Butfoy and the thing leaks like a seive. Oil comes out everywhere two pieces metal are put together. My .04 ( inflation) GoNancy P.S. It's a good thing I'm not PMSing or I would be VERY UPSET about being offered up as the prize for this "civil war " race. ==============================================================================
