  What I meant but wasn't clear about was a 'short throw' shift lever,

not a short lever. Heard these were available. Either the ball on the

end is larger or the distance from the ball to the shift shaft connecting

point is changed. So for the same or less amount of lever movement you

get more shift shaft movement. Does this make sense ? Do I know what

I'am talking about ? TIA
